HyMOLab– Hydrodynamics and MetOcean Laboratory – is a Laboratory of the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Trieste. The main fields of expertise are hydrodynamics of marine vehicles and ocean waves. Both subjects are tackled in a synergic approach mainly via numerical simulations on proprietary High Performance Computing machines.
HyMOLab and its staff have been/are involved in many research projects in the fields of hydrodynamics of propellers, cruise ships and luxury mega-yachts.
HyMOLab has a consolidated background in the field of high-fidelity metocean data production and operational application in both offshore/oil&gas and environment protection fields (e.g. http://www.osmer.fvg.it/mare.php ).
